If you suspect email fraud

If you are the victim of a fraudulent email, please contact your financial institution.

If you have received an email that appears to be from Visa requesting financial information or other personal data, please email phishing@visa.com to notify Visa of the specifics of the fraudulent email.

If you see an email that appears to be fraudulent, please forward it to the Better Business Bureau at nophishing@cbbb.bbb.org.

Call the Visa Global Customer Care Services (GCCS) toll free:

Within the United States — (800) 847-2911.

Cardholders traveling in any of the following countries can report their Visa cards lost/stolen and request emergency services by using the following toll free numbers (Callers in certain countries dialing these numbers from mobile or hotel phones might be charged fees).

If the country you are in is not listed, or if you experience difficulties using any of the toll-free numbers, call direct to the US at +1 410 581 9994.

To best assist our customer service, please have the following information on hand:
  • Name of the financial institution that issued the card to you
  • Card type (i.e. Visa Classic, Visa Gold, Visa Platinum)
  • Country where the card was issued
If you know your full sixteen (16)-digit credit card number, provide the following information that will allow for a quicker cancellation of your lost or stolen credit card.
  • Full credit card number of the card that is missing—and whether you are the primary cardholder or secondary cardholder
  • Exact cardholders name printed on the card
  • Billing Address—where your credit card bill is sent each month
  • Home phone number
  • Circumstances of the loss or theft
  • Identification verification information—social security number or similar, date of birth, and mother’s maiden name
Please note: If you are the secondary cardholder for this card, you will you will also need to provide the primary cardholder’s identification verifications details.

For information regarding lost Travelers Cheques, call Visa Travelers Cheque Global Refund and Assistance Center at (800) 227-6811. For travel in other countries, contact Customer Service.

The Visa Travelers Cheque Global Refund and Assistance Center operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and employs multi-lingual operators.

Financial institutions and merchants may call the Center for assistance in processing Visa Travelers Cheques. U.S. banks and merchants may call the Center to obtain a guaranteed rate of exchange for foreign currency Visa Travelers Cheques.
